About
James Burdine is the founder and President of JM Burdine Management Consultants, LLC based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, specializing in International Business Development. Our aim is to make the world smaller both for US companies looking to export great products and services to international markets and foreign companies exploring paths to enter the US market.
From 2000-2011, working in the International Division at Scholastic, James was successful in an eclectic mix of roles of increasing responsibility in marketing, sales, product development and operations – including a four-year expat assignment in Mexico City where he successfully led the team to turn-around the Mexican business. He is comfortable managing truly global teams and has deep experience managing teams in the US, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and India.
James’s experience centers on diving into the deep-end to identify and quickly act on critical areas of opportunity or improvement. James thrives in situations where working without a map is a requirement; he is expert at driving profitable growth, building great teams and applying systems thinking to solve complex problems.
Always eager to take on a new challenge, James decided to launch his own consulting firm in January 2012 to share his professional expertise with entrepreneurs in startups and established companies
James graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit and completed Graduate Studies at New York University. He is happily married and the father of two amazing daughters.
